Essential River Guide Gear List

Below is a list of mandatory gear necessary for working as a river guide. If you do not have the following we can order for you from our supplier at below retail prices. You will not be allowed to do paid trips until you possess the proper equipment.

  A type III or V lifejacket

  A professional rescue throw rope

  4 - Two foot Quickies (Straps)

  4 - Three foot Quickies (Straps)

  4 - Four foot Quickies (Straps)

  4 - Six foot Quickies (Straps)

  A mesh strap bag

Overnight River Guide Gear List

Before you can do paid overnight trips you will be required to have:

  A sleeping bag

  A tent

  A tarp or ground cloth

  A over night dry bag

  Day dry bag or ammo can

  A "paco" pad or sleep pad

  One or Two Flashlights

  3 - 12 foot quickies straps

  3 - 20 foot quickies straps

It is not acceptable to use BBRT equipment for personal use. Our equipment is for our guests use only.
